Important information about your visit to Radium Hot Springs

Radium Hot Springs operates on a first come, first served basis. Reservations and pre-booked tickets are not available.

Your safety and the safety of Parks Canada staff is our first priority.

Rules you must follow

  • Wearing a mask is required in public indoor spaces including the lobby, dry hall and change rooms, for those 5 and older.
  • Masks are not effective when wet and should be stored in your locker while enjoying the hot springs.
Violence, verbal and/or physical abuse:
  • Will not be tolerated
  • Be polite and follow directions from Parks Canada staff
  • Those who do not comply with site rules will be directed to leave
  • Failure to do so will result in the RCMP being called and may result in the closure of the facility
Alcohol and intoxicating substances:
  • are not permitted at the facility, including in the lineup. 
  • Is not permitted in the building or pools

BC provincial health orders must be followed:

  • Stay home if you are ill
  • You must wear appropriate swimwear while in the hot springs
  • In addition to traditional North American swimwear, patrons may wear: long-sleeved shirt and pants, t-shirts and shorts or any other swimwear that allows them to feel comfortable whether for cultural, religious, personal preference, and/or medical / health reasons
  • All swimwear must be different from the clothing the patron arrived in, freshly laundered and not impair the patron's ability to swim and the lifeguard's ability to perform a rescue in the event of an emergency
  • Underwear on its own is not appropriate swimwear

What to expect:
  • Capacity is limited to ensure lifeguard to patron ratios are maintained at all times
  • Long line-ups during busy periods - the facility is busiest on weekends, statutory holidays and school holidays.
  • Lengthy outside waits with limited access to shelter or shade. Please dress for the weather and bring a water bottle for each member of your family
  • Last entry is 30 minutes prior to close. Those still waiting in line will have to return on a different day if the facility is at capacity
  • Swimsuit and towel rentals are available
  • Towels are available for purchase

  • Open Friday through Tuesday
  • Closed Wednesday and Thursday

Your safety when visiting

  • Smoking,vaping and the consumption of alcohol are prohibited. Those who appear intoxicated will be denied entry
  • Dress for the weather and arrive prepared to wait outdoors. This means you may wish to pack sunglasses, sunscreen, a water bottle and a hat when it is hot
  • Sanitize your hands when you enter the building
  • Shower with soap prior to entering the pool
  • Follow all of local and provincial pool regulations during your visit
