A review of the 2005 Elk Island National Park Management Plan was initiated in 2010. Parks Canada staff worked with partners, interest groups and the general public helped to shape the development of the new management plan. Consultations concluded in 2011.

It takes a dedicated and diverse team to ensure that Elk Island National Park can be enjoyed and appreciated by present and future Canadians. Parks Canada works hard to fulfill its mandate by ensuring Canadians have safe access to the park, facilities that meet their needs and a healthy ecosystem that represents the natural and cultural heritage of Elk Island National Park.
