Important information about your visit to Riel House

  • If you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, such as a cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat, headache, or any of the symptoms listed in the screening tool, we ask that you refrain from coming to the site, self-isolate and get tested for COVID-19.
  • What’s open (updated July 7, 2021)

    • Riel House National Historic Site is open to the public in a limited capacity. Find out more about guided tours.
    • On-site experiences take place outdoors and are therefore weather dependent.
    • Washrooms.
    What’s closed (updated July 21, 2021)

    • Riel House itself is closed, however visitors will be able to visit the grounds and look inside during their tour.

    • Hand sanitizer stations will be available on-site;
    • Routine cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces are implemented;
